From Amazon: Excellent sharpener for blades. Very clever design which should make it last a long time. Takes a little getting used to and a fair amount of elbow grease, but the end result are sharp blades just like shop does it.

I have tried several for personal use as well as with the High School hockey team I coach, and this is the best. The grinding stone is dramatically better than the sandpaper like devices I have used previously, and this tool actually makes a hollow and real edges, unlike most sharpeners that really just clean up existing knicks or bad edges. Would buy again and would encourage other teams (that we don’t play…haha) to keep one on their bench.

This is the only sharpener I’ve used on my skates and my kids’ skates for the fall/winter hockey season. It gives a reliable hollow grind every time, I coach hockey, so I’m skating 3-4 times per week, and my kids are skating about the same with games. Very handy and easy to use. I’ve even touched up a few players blades when I notice they are falling a lot due to dull edges. The deburring stone is also super-helpful in getting a quick edge refresh. Great product!
