FAQS
We currently only offer products for player hockey skates. We do not recommend using these on any skates except for player hockey skates.
Yes! Save your arm and get them sharpened by a powered grinder first. You can completely replace going to the pro-shops by using our product. We cut, file, and maintain the hollow just like a powered grinder would. My son (14U travel defenseman) and I have only used these sharpeners for 4 years on our skates.
This helps you save money you would spend at the pro shop to get your skates sharpened. Plus, the sharpener removes only what is needed to restore the edge of your skate and ultimately, extends the life of your blade.
All of our uncoated assembly components are stainless steel so you can keep it in your wet, stinky bag with no worries!
The plastic handle is made from Industrial grade plastic, which is one of the strongest and most durable plastics available. It will glide smoothly against metal and is unaffected by oil, water, and whatever may have died in your hockey bag!
We’ve carefully crafted a sleek and compact design so you can use it anywhere to keep you in the action. I have a few coaches that have them in their pockets when they are on the bench.
Skate blades can vary in thickness, and the black screws easily adjust your sharpener to the width of your skate blade. These screws also cause the stone to be centered, which results in a better sharpened skate.

Check for burrs on the edges and remove them. Both a powered grinder and our sharpener leave a burr. A handheld sharpener leaves a much larger burr. This burr will make the skates feel different than your normal grind. The deburring stone on the back of the sharpener finishes the edge by removing the burr. Please follow the instructions for details on how. Our sharpener ROH is the same ROH as you get from a powered grinder so once you get the burr removed it will feel the same.
If you are meticulous (exact) with holding the deburring stone flat and removing all of the burr, then get the same ROH as your normal grind. If you are not meticulous and just want a quick sharpening, then we suggest trying one ROH smaller. If you don’t know what ROH you currently use, we suggest asking your pro shop first.
